The Nagaland Information Commission was constituted on 14th March 2006, vide Government Order N0. AR- 3/ Gen-147/2005 on the recommendation of the appointment Committee constituted in terms of Section 15(3) of the Right to Information Act. 2005 and under the provision of Section 15(1) & (2). The Governor of Nagaland Shri Shyamal Datta administered the oath of office to the above mentioned Commissioners to form the Information Commission and to exercise the powers conferred on them and to perform the functions assigned to it under the Act. more...

Do you know? You can

  • inspect works, documents, records.
  • take notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records.
  • take certified samples of material
Any person who, does not receive a decision within the time specified, or is aggrieved by a decision of the Central Public Information Officer or State Public Information Officer, as the case may be, may within thirty days from the expiry of such period or from the receipt of such a decision prefer an appeal to such officer who is senior in rank to the Central Public Information Officer or State Public Information Officer as the case may be, in each public authority.
